How to Stop Teeth From Rotting?

3 min read

Tooth decay usually starts without noise. A little sensitivity. A rough spot you keep finding with your tongue. Then one day that small issue isn’t so small anymore.

Start With Your Daily Brushing

Brush your teeth two times a day with fluoride toothpaste. Take your time. Two minutes is worth the effort because fluoride helps make the outside of your teeth stronger and better able to resist damage from acid.

Don’t brush as if you are trying to remove paint. A soft touch near the gums works better. Is better for your gums.

Fluoride Is More Important Than Fancy Toothpaste

You don’t need a toothpaste with a strong label. Fluoride is the thing. Look at the label. Use a toothpaste that has fluoride in it.

After you brush spit out the toothpaste than rinsing your mouth with a lot of water right away. This keeps fluoride on your teeth longer.

Don’t Let Sugar Keep Affecting Your Teeth

Your teeth are not affected by how much sugar you eat. How often you eat it matters too. Sipping a drink for a long time gives the bacteria in plaque repeated chances to make acids that harm your teeth.

So if you are going to have something it’s better to have it with a meal rather than eating sugary snacks all afternoon.

• Fizzy drinks are really bad for your teeth when you keep sipping them so don’t let one bottle last all afternoon.

• Sweet snacks once in a while are easier to handle than eating, which keeps plaque going.

• Water between meals. It might be plain. It clears out quickly and doesn’t help the same process.

Clean Between Your Teeth Too

A toothbrush can’t reach all the spaces between your teeth. That’s where plaque can hide.

Use floss or another tool to clean between your teeth once a day. It doesn’t have to become a complicated bathroom routine. Find a way that you can actually stick with.

What If a Tooth Has Already Started Decaying?

This is where people sometimes wait long. Early decay needs a dentists help because once a hole forms brushing alone can’t fix the part of the tooth.

Get Dental Checks Before Problems Get Worse

Regular visits to the dentist let the dentist find decay before it becomes painful or hard to fix. If you already have tooth sensitivity, visible holes, swelling or pain when you bite don’t wait for the problem to go away on its own.

And if you have a mouth often feel acid in your mouth or like to drink sugary drinks all day tell your dentist about it. These details can change how your dentist looks at your risk, for decay.
